Hi, Question for gynecologist from few days the nerves around my areola (breast) are becomes stiff and painful. They are thick as well no softness. On massage for longer the breast becomes soft. Please suggests what to do?

You need physical examination and USG breast need to be done

Gynecomastia is swelling of the breast tissue in boys or men, caused by an imbalance of the hormones estrogen and testosterone. Gynecomastia can affect one or both breasts, sometimes unevenly. A decrease in the hormone testosterone usually with an increase in the hormone estrogen cause most cases of breast enlargement in men. These hormone fluctuations can be normal at different phases of life and can affect infants, children entering in puberty and adults. Most cases of gynecomastia resolve over time without treatment. However, if gynecomastia is caused by an underlying condition, such as hypogonadism, malnutrition or cirrhosis, that condition may need treatment. Medications used to treat breast cancer and other conditions may be helpful for some men with gynecomastia.
