I'm a 40 years old female. Presenting with dysphagia. Previously diagnosed hyperthyroid. Blood work done. Waiting on thyroid test. Is it common to give a standard chest xray without dye to see thyroid and esophagus. Or does this only show lungs.

If you are facing some difficulties in swallowing food or water of feeling any kind of blockage in you throat, you may have been suffering from dysphagia. In case it is in severe stage, you may need a special liquid diet or feeding tube to bypass the part of your swallowing mechanism that isn't working normally. You should seek right consultation to take a decision whether to go for a laparoscopic surgery or not. Let's have a detailed discussion.
