Hello, I was taking treatment for depression. Last I was prescribed venlift od 37.5. My doctor asked me to discontinue after one month course. But when I stop taking this medicine, I do not feel well, pls help me how to discontinue this medicine.

Looks like you were in remission hence your doctor brought you down to a low dose and then told you to stop, this is the correct way to always stop medicine. In your case if very mild symptoms still occur on and off you can use venlift 37.5 mg on alt days fr a week / 10 days as you feel comfortable and then stop, incase symptoms still trouble try considering therapy sessions.

It's difficult to stop this medicine all of a sudden. Ideally it should be taken for atleast 6 months even if you are feeling alright and then stopped slowly. Still if you want to stop on advice of the doctor there are 3 ways you can do so 1. Take every alternate day for a week or two and then try stop 2. Skip one day a week, take for 6 days, next week, skip for 2 days, take for 5 days and so on. It should be stopped in 7 weeks 3. Open the capsule and mix entire contents in 200 ml juice. Drink all 1 day. Next day drink only 190 ml and discard 20 ml, each day reduce by 20 ml etc contact me or any other psychiatrist for further help or details.
