Dear lybrate-user, I hope that you know most of the facts about the bipolar affective disorder. You have developed it at such a young age of 18 years. So, with continuous mood stabilizers like lithium and lurasidone and regular monitoring of your mood in a chart (download a mood chart from the internet), you can live a comfortable stable life. Please visit the doctor again, she/he will reduce or stop risperidone and parkin. In due course, you will learn how much of risperidone you need to bring your high mood to normally. It is better to err on a low mood state so that you can save your name, fame, prestige, and money (in a manic phase, you would have lost them)

Lithium level is normal only, so lithium can be continued if other blood parameters are fine. On your mood symptoms discuss the lack of improvement with your treating psychiatrist, and try alternate medications if needed. Being open about no improvement will lead to the doctor taking note and doing away with medications that do not work. All the best.
