Hi, I am having hyperthyroidism. A doctor prescribed be thyronorm 75 mg tablet for 2 weeks. Shall I take thyronorm. I am feeding my 1 year son. Pls let me know.

Please look at statement, I think it is hypothyroid not hyperthyroid because thyronorm is prescribed for hypothyroid which should be continued for two months then repeat tsh to to adjust the dose with the help of your physician. Continue feeding your child.

Hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. Tsh/t4 anti tpo antibodies required. Thyroid hormone has to be taken during feeding, babys brain developement is requires thyroid hormone. Which willreach baby through breast milk.
