Hi, My father is suffering from COPD, Sleep Apnea and type 2 diabetic. He is suffering from this condition since 2011 and as per advice is using Oxygen concentrator + BI PAP machine at home during night. In 2014 due to shortness of breath, dizziness, I had to admit him in hospital where his oxygen saturation has gone down to 35-40 where co2 has gone up to 140 with pH level lowered to 7.013. He was under ventilation for 14 days, later shifted to HDU and was released from there in two weeks time. Now again his oxygen has gone down to 56 and ABG test showed pH level at 7.217 at first, second it increased to 7.356 and the current ABG Stands a t 7.413 which I believe is positive however, so2 is not going up from 56 and current co 2 level is at 55. He is currently admitted in hospital and chest specialist had referred to cardiologist who had checked ECG and asked to perform Angiogram and commented the ECG report was not good. However, I surprised no other test like stress test, Echo is done before to know ET status so now I am suspecting the direction of the treatment. Please advise what can I do?
