Hello Dr. Mere conceiving date 10 June 2018 h. but muje thyroid h or thyroid ki tablet Maine 28 August me start ki. Pehle pta nhi tha thyriod ka. isse mere baby ki mentality pe koi asar to nhi Hua hoga na. because 28 August se me regular tablet le rhi hu. please suggest hypothyroidism h.

lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. In the first 4 to 6 weeks nervous system and brain development is begun. During that period lack of thyroxine can cause serious effects on brain development. However, it is difficult to say whether there is any effect on intelligence or IQdevelopment. Since you are on treatment with Levothyroxine please see that TSH is maintained < 2.5 mU/L through out the gestational period. It is necessary for healthy development of the fetus plus for desired outcome of pregnancy. Thanks.
