Hi my name is Maryam I have a spleen enlargement Due to Malaria and my doctor told me to use Inderal 40 mg once daily. Since I started taking my spleen has gone down to normal size. I have been experiencing sleepiness, diarrhea,and dizziness of late but they are mild. Should I stop taking the Inderal? Thank you.

Dear Maryam, Looks like the medication has worked well for you. The side effects however may be related to the medication you are currently on. Before you stop taking the medicine you may want to run a few tests- Complete Blood Picture with emphasis on platelet counts, and Have an ultrasound of your abdomen to rule out liver or spleen enlargement.
