Prognosis of lung cancer depends a number of factors like stage at diagnosis, age, histopathological sub-type of the tumor, performance status of the patient, etc. If the tumor is metastatic or locally recurrent after chemotherapy, then targeted therapy can be useful with much reduced toxicity.
