You can diffferenciate it to some extent with the help of signs and symptoms. IBS shows Constant bowel movements or chronic constipation Back and forth alternation between diarrhea and constipation episodes. IBS symptoms usually present for at least three days a month for a period of three months or more whereas in colon cancer their will be diarrhea, rectal bleeding etc. You need to get investigated for the same.
