Rheumatic Arthritis is an autoimmune disorder which can be both hereditary as well as caused by external agents. It affects joints which are related to movements especially in the wrists, elbows, ankle and knees, which can be inflamed and stiff due to contraction of the muscles. It drastically affects the lucidity and swiftness of movement and in chronic cases might even affect the pulmonary system. Demographically middle aged women are affected more than young people.
