Ichthyosis Vulgaris is a condition, in which, the skin cells of the body get affected, causing patches on the surface of the skin. It is caused due to the accumulation of dry and dead skin cells. Usually, these cases are mild and appear on small areas of the body. However, sometimes the abdomen, back, arms and legs also get affected. Ichthyosis Vulgaris can develop because of cancer, chronic kidney failure or thyroid. Nonetheless, It can even be a genetic problem.
