If the cancer is confirmed by biopsy, then the line of treatment is the swelling we be removed by what we call as lumpectomy, it depends on the size and location. Some surgeons prefer to remove the whole breast. Along with the cancerous area surrounding glands will also be removed. After recovery from surgery i.e. Healing of the wound, the radiotherapy will be given for 25 days every day for 5 days with 2 days gap. After this the will start chemotherapy, duration depends on the size of the growth and other parameters like her blood count etc. After the chemotherapy depending on the results of the biopsy test and other hormonal assessment the oral medication need to be continued throughout her life. These are the normal steps but changes depending up on condition of each patient. As you have not given details, I will not be able to suggest what exactly is needed for her. Good luck.

Your aunt should firstly get all her blood tests and mammography done to know the extent of cancer, also whether it is only localised or spread to lymph nodes and other organs via blood stream, in case it's localised only, probably a mastectomy .Breast removal followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy will be able to eradicate and cure her completely, and if it has spread all over then she would need a more intense treatment.

Initial treatment is surgery with removal of lymph nodes if they are also involved. Later a radiation and chemo IV or oral may be suggested. This will also be based on the ER, PR and Her 2 scores of the biopsy taken to confirm the nature or type of cancer. More I would be able to suggest after the reports. Wish this helps.
