Hello, Yes we tend to gain weight in winters as the days are short and we are in bed for a longer time. Due to this people also discontinue their exercise routine. When the temperature drops we opt for heavier and warm foods. To stay warm body's energy needs rise. We also increase our suagr and salt intakes. All these lead to weight gain in winters. Exercise more so that you burn more carbs. Eat healthy. Have nuts and soups in snacks which will keep you warm and avoid weight gain. Drink warm water 3-4 ltrs. daily. Avoid colas, fruit juices, fried and junk food.
