Good Afternoon ~ Rapid weight loss is not a good sign. It may be because of many reasons and I believe that you will do well to check your father to see if he has had any recent changes in his food habits. It there is excessive pain, then it may also cause loss of appetite and same is the case with any new medication that may have been started for his joint pains (I am thinking it should be diagnosed, if not please visit with an orthopedic or a rheumatic specialist). If all of the above are ruled out, anxiety and depression as a result of chronic pain and skin problems that usually only are modified but do not go away completely, may be the reason that your father is having these problems. Medications can help with depressed mood and anxious affect, and I can certainly help prescribe those for your father. Feel free to give more information privately and upload previous documents to be of further help from a neuropsychiatric viewpoint. Look forward to hearing from you. Psoriasis is a autoimmune disorder involving joints (psoriatic arthritis, nails, other connective tissues apart from skin, pain in joints may develop at some point of time in full fledged or chronic psoriasis ,Weight loss has nothing to do with psoriasis per se ,we require proper blood reportings and medical treatment over past 15 years together with anyother medical history to understand the case in total, further medical opinion may only be given then. Proper proteinaceous diet and wholesome food (if he is not diabetic) will help him to keep his weight up. Hope this will be useful. Good luck.

It needs to be ruled out whether the joint pains are related with the psoriasis. A thorough clinical assessment of his health status is necessary to know the reason for his weight loss and body ache. So please get in touch with the doctor who is treating your father and please follow up as frequently as needed. You can also use Homeopathy along with his regular medications as it may help him to overcome pain without the usage of painkillers for long-term and increase his overall health status naturally. You can contact me for a detailed consultation for homeopathic treatment.
