U can do the following to ease the symptoms of psoriasis 1. Prevent dry skin use a humidifier to keep the air in your home or office moist. This can help prevent dry skin before it starts. Sensitive skin moisturizers are also great at keeping your skin supple and preventing plaques from forming. 2. Avoid fragrances most soaps and perfumes have dyes and other chemicals in them that may irritate your skin. They can make you smell great, but they also can inflame psoriasis. 3. Eat healthfully diet may play a role in managing psoriasis. Eliminating red meat and fatty snacks may help reduce flare-ups triggered by such foods. Cold water fish, seeds, nuts, and omega-3 fatty acids are known for their ability to reduce inflammation. 4. Soak your body hot water may be an irritant for your skin. However, a lukewarm bath can soothe the itching and infiltrate scales and plaques. Moisturize immediately after your bath for double benefits. 5. Reduce stress any chronic condition like psoriasis can be a source of stress. This can often turn into a vicious cycle because stress itself can worsen psoriasis symptoms. In addition to reducing stress whenever possible, consider incorporating stress-reducing practices such as yoga and meditation. 6. Avoid alcohol alcohol is a trigger for many people who have psoriasis. 7. Stop smoking avoid tobacco. Smoking may increase your risk of psoriasis. If you already have psoriasis, it can also make your symptoms more severe. For this homeopathic treatment is very effective for more details you can consult me.

Psoriasis occurs when skin cells are replaced more quickly than usual. It's not known exactly why this happens, but research suggests it's caused by a problem with the immune system. Your body produces new skin cells in the deepest layer of skin. Need to evaluate your concern in detail, consult online.

Psoriasis like patches on random places on legs. 1 area appeared approx 5 months ago. Treated with bactroban ointment at first but no improvement, then more (smaller) patches just like initial one appeared. Treated with fungal cream & capsules prescribed by Dr. For 4 weeks, still no improvement. It has a dry, scaly, flaky appearance. If flakes/scabs falls off its bright red and moist underneath almost like open wound. There is no visible pus/green/yellow formation. Initial patch is almost 3 cm in diameter at present.

Hi, i'm 23 years old female. I've been suffering form psoriasis since 13 yrs. I had scaling just over 6 spots (circular in shape) on my legs & scaling on my scalp only during winter. I've been taking ayurvedic medicine (external application & blood purifier syrup) which gave me great results. But 5 years back i've started consulting a dermatologist because I couldn't continue the ayurvedic medicine as i've moved to another place. The dermatologist suggested me propysalic nf6 for skin & onabet sd for scalp, it reduced scaling but I had scaling at new spots. I was asked to continue applying the ointment. But i've started to feel pain at the spots when I touched it hard. My skin became delicate & it looked as it was burnt. The dermatologist told to stop using propysalic nf6 & suggested tacrovera 0.03% 4 months back. My skin didn't turn back to its normal form. Still it looks like fire burnt scar. Dr. Prescribed scar end ointment but still no improvement. Do I have any remedy for my problem? Only those spots were I applied propysalic nf6 looks bad. I never mind having psoriasis because it's under control but the scar left by the ointment is depressing me. I don't have any problem with the other spots were I didn't apply propysalic nf6 because it looks normal (scaling stops & turns back to normal skin. So, pls suggest me some treatment for my problem. Thanks in advance.

My name is inno from africa uganda. How long can a black person with scalp psoriasis eczema take methotrexate 2.5 mg (3 tablets once a week) and folica acid (1 tablet daily) uk brand. I took these for a period of 3 months and stopped visiting the doctor due to high monthly consultation fess since the condition had improved, later realised gnuts triggered my flares and avoided it for all this long and recently I saw flares come back after like 5 months again. I am back to the same dose without visiting the doctor. I suspect eating fried eggs and tomatoes cud be causing more flares again since I took long eating them. Whatsapp mobile.

Hi, methotrexate is an immunosuppressive medicine so should be taken only under doctor's supervision. After initiation of medical therapy with methotrexate, follow-up tests should include monitoring of cbc, renal function test, and liver function tests weekly for 4 weeks and then at least bi-monthly. Scalp psoriasis if mild to moderate can be managed with applications and shampoos. You can go for a ketoconazole and salicylic acid containing shampoos twice to thrice a week for head bath. Steroid lotion can also be helpful. Pls see a dermatologist for specific recommendations. Thanks.
