Though the uric acid level you have mentioned is normal (less than 7 is considered normal for males), Swelling and extreme pain of great toe is suggestive of gout. Consult a Rheumatologist immediately, any swollen joint needs to be aspirated for seeing urate crystals. There are medicines for immediate relief, and also for preventing reccurent attacks in gout. Acute gout attacks can have a normal uric acid level.

Please note that it will take sufficient time and management to heal completely. As of now take apple cider vinegar which will help relieve acute pain. You can also add honey to the remedy to boost the body?s anti-inflammatory response. 1. Mix one teaspoon of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar in a glass of water. 2. Drink it two to three times daily. If you find this remedy helpful, you can increase the dosage of apple cider vinegar to up to two tablespoons.
