Whey protein is not a only option,you are non-vegetarain so you can take meat and eggs for protein. Take high carbohydrate diet eg cansugar,banana,bread,potato,sweet potatos etc Take balanced and healthy diet small in quantity but repeat it frequently. Take one bowl of cerels in morning specially Soyabin,groundnut,moong and gram and take milk afterward. Do mild exercises daily Take proper rest Avoid stress Take plenty of water and juices according to season. immensely welcomed for your feedback.

It is always better to take high protein diet instead of protein supplement but you can add whey protein in case of gymming and it's safe to take high tablespoon of whey protein with milk.
