I have a TSH of 3.4 and I am 29 weeks pregnant, please suggest if my thyroxine dosage to be increased, if so how much. I am currently taking 125+12.5 mcg dosage everyday. My endocrinologist suggesting to not change, but I read in many articles that TSH of 2 should be maintained during pregnancy. I am confused.

Hi lybrate-user, yes TSH 3.4 is high at this gestation and with advancing gestation your thyroxine demand will increase. Hence, I would suggest you to increase the dose of thyroxine after discussing with your obstetrician and repeat TSH in 4 -6 weeks time. Take care.
