Piles is basically a dilatation of venous plexuses in the anal canal which often bleeds on straining during motions whereas fissure is a breach of anal mucocutaneous junction due to chronic constipation causing pain and sometimes bleeding during motions. Treatment is simple for fissure. Do sitz bath. Avoid spicy food. High fibre intake. Avoid constipation. Apply any commercially available ointments after consulting with a surgeon. Surgery may be required if bleeding is continuous or you are not following the diet n medications.
