Hye. Such crash diets never help. This low calories will only drop your muscle mass and fats will remain as it is. Losing 3 kgs in a week is not only impractical but also unhealthy. In case you do lose water weight and muscle mass it will show as loss on scale and once back on normal diet you tend to gain more than what you lost because the body is trying to survive. So avoid such routines. Short term goals like this will even make you lose your facial glow and toning of your body.

Hello, What you are describing is VLCD(Very low calorie diets) which are nothing but crash diets. Depriving one self from the required nutrients will give you some serious problems in long run. Our body needs minimum amount of prescribed calories even on weight loss to perform efficiently. Restricting oneself from food and calories will give you problems related to Gastrointestinal, blood pressure, sugar levels etc. Such diets never give any positive results on physical and mental well-being. Starvation leads to Weight gain. So you can always expect a reverse results.

700 calorie diet is extremely low and not useful at all. The concept of 'dieting' itself is a failure right from the start since it works on the assumption that >>. .You will diet for some time. Which will bring your weight down. And then after your weight is down .you can go back to eating burgers and pizzas.<< Your weight loss whatever is going to be mainly water loss. Your brain and systems will be messed up for this duration. And after that back to square one. Better is to follow a healthy diet + do some active workouts. Do what you can sustain for life. Be fit, be healthy, be active. Look for long terms solutions. There are no 2 Minute solutions in health. Be wise, look ahead.

Let me explain a widely discussed yet controversial topic behind losing weight i.e Dieting. It is a myth that weight loss is impossible without dieting. However, I disagree with that myth personally. You have to fulfill the basic caloric demand of your body to perform your daily activities. That means you have to eat as a normal person & also eat at a certain interval. In fact I have seen many people who take little amount food after fasting for 6-7 hours & they believe that they are Dieting. In fact keeping your stomach empty for a considerable long time will decrease the rate of metabolism & also increase the risk of gastric problems in an individual. Staying hungry for a considerable long time produces the release of Cortisol Hormone in the body. This Cortisol hormone is an emergency hormone & it identifies the absence of food as an emergency situation. Thus it lowers the rate of metabolism to stop the breakdown of fat in order to conserve the calories present inside the body. Moreover, when you stay hungry for a considerable long time your body starts to burn fat initially but after a certain stage it starts burning the muscle fibres thus resulting in muscle waste which leads to weakness & loss of stamina. If you want to lose weight quickly then along with increasing the rate of metabolism you should need to make some little changes in your food habit so that you can maintain the increased metabolic rate throughout the day. Just think of your body as a furnace & the fire as metabolism. If you add 10 kg of wood to the fire all of a sudden then the temperature of the fire will be increased suddenly but it would not last long. So inorder to maintain the temperature of the fire it would be wise to add 1 kg of wood after every interval of 1 hour. Same happens with our body. You need to provide food to your body at certain interval so that the rate of metabolism remains constant. I am giving a description of your food timings:- 1) Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up from sleep 2) Take your breakfast within one hour of waking up 3) After 2 hours of breakfast take some midday snacks 4) Take your lunch within 2 hours after your midday snack 5) Take an evening snack after 2 hours of lunch 6) Take your dinner at least 2 hours before going to bed Throughout the day try to drink as much water as you can. It would be better if you can drink cold water. For a rough estimation try to drink a glass (300 ml) of water per hour.
