Dear doctor we have a patient of schizophrenia taking clozapine. That is a good medicine but bioavaiability is so low that it has side effects. You are requested to inform us when the nano drug delivery for clozapine can be expected. We will be highly obliged and thankful to you.

Oral bioavailability of clozapine is around 25-28% which is less as compared to other drugs. However it is a very good medication fir schizophrenia, no doubts on that. Side effects do not necessarily occur in every patient and it may not be related to its bioavailability. Studies on nano drug delivery options for clozapine are ongoing and have shown promising results. There is however no consensus on how long will it take to enter markets and be available for use.
