It seems like depression with comorbid anxiety symptoms. Its necessary for you to consult a psychiatrist since the symptoms seem severe, chronic and relapsing. If the depression is clinically of a serious level only counseling or psychotherapy may not work that well. Before you opt for any mode of therapy consult a psychiatrist for detailed evaluation.

Yes both are same. Just make sure you get only the recommended dose that is 25 mg. Visit your doctor once the medication prescribed for the period is over. Do not continue or alter doses without consulting your doctor.

My brother ages 32 years. He is being drinking alcohol since 5 years which is sometime occasionally and sometime continuously. From last few months he have a habit of serious vomiting after drinking alcohol. How can I make him drink less? Also, what medicine should he take for the vomiting?

Get him evaluated by a physician, a gastroenterologist in particular to rule out pathological causes of vomiting. If he is dependent on alcohol and seems difficult to hit seek a psychiatrist’s help.

Too much of anything is bad. Same is with masturbation. Masturabation is a safe and healthy way of satisfying your sexual urges and release of sexual anxiety. However repeated masturbation for allaying any anxiety and stress may cause undue psychological ill effects like being obsessed with the act, anxiety and guilt etc. It takes at least 2-3 days for the body to regenerate your sperm count. Masturbation if done daily or more than once a day may be responsible for a low count in semen. However this is completely reversible. When you stop masturbating or do it once in 3-4 days counts become normal. Same is the case with sexual activity too. Till date there is no conclusive evidence to suggest that natural masturbation techniques causing any physical hazards

Pregnancy and semen thickness are unrelated. Sperm count may affect fertility and child bearing. Get evaluated in detail at a fertility clinic to increase chances of pregnancy. Sex timing can be increased by following certain safe sexual methods and some treatments. Consult a paychiatrist and sexual counselor for the same.

You need treatment with some medications, sexual counseling and practice some safe sexual techniques to delay your ejaculation. Consult a psychiatrist and sex counselor. Your anxiety needs to be dealt with too, as it is one of the major causes of premature ejaculation.

I am 21 years boy. My speaking speed is very fast, which is bit difficult to understand for many people and I have to articulate again with little more effort. Its from childhood no one noticed nor even me, but now in college, I have to attend and participate in various public speaking activities, I always try to escape from all these but I want a solution now. I had visited ENT and Speech Therapist, endoscopy was done and vocal chord was fine. Doctors suggested me to read everyday few pages alphabet by alphabet a bit louder for two years. This may be the solution, I followed this for a couple of week but its very embarrassing for me to do in front of friends and family members. This practice I cannot continue further. I don't stammer or stutter but I speak very fast and when recorded my voice even I can't understand full sentences of mine. Please suggest any fast method to overcome this problem, I am very depressed, shocked, unwilling to live life prosperously.

You have learnt your speech over last many years. It’s a daunting task to unlearn the fast speech and re learn it the new way. Please be prepared to put in some time and lot of patience and hard work to get over it. Speech therapy is a way to reach your goals. Accompanying anxiety and impatience may be deterrents in your recovery. Consult a psychiatrist personally for a review. It would certainly help. Good luck.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - Can You Manage It?

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - Can You Manage It?

Do you switch off the lights a certain number of times before going to bed? Do you clean your windows even after they have been cleaned more than once in the day? Do you check your locks again and again before stepping out? If yes, then chances are you that are suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). OCD is something which is difficult to overcome. However, the great thing is that it is not something that happens to be untreatable.

OCD is something which affects a range of people and to varying degrees. To some, it may have the effect of making their lives a little unusual, and to others it can go some way in greatly mitigating the pleasure they get out of living their lives. A person who suffers from OCD keeps on doubting his or her actions, especially when it comes to the possible repercussions of him or her not doing what he or she was supposed to do. This could include a person asking himself or herself whether he or she has put the gas off, or turned the tap off in the bath tub before to leaving the house.

Taking control of the obsession

  1. In order to reduce the adverse impact that OCD has on the life of a person, it is important to exercise regularly. This is because OCD is an issue which has a lot to do with the nervous system, along with the brain, and the benefits of exercise on the nervous system can have a meaningful impact.
  2. A lot of the problems a person experiences with respect to his or her health has to do with the amount of sleep he or she gets. It should really not come as a surprise in that case that it is not much different in the case of OCD. When a person does not get as much sleep as he or she normally should, it can cause issues by way of thoughts and ruminations in a mind that is not rested to an extent that is adequate.
  3. Many people seek to control their OCD by trying to avoid the fears they face. However, it should be noted that this is not a good way to go about with it due to the fact that avoidance is very likely to compound the level of fear. Instead, a person who suffers from OCD should make an effort to follow a ritual which involves making sure whatever he or she is afraid of is incorporated in it.

OCD is something which has the potential to scare a lot of people. However, adequate effort and treatment can make sure that it no longer should. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Psychiatrist.

Ejaculation is important or not? From ejaculation can I get stress or not? And how many time I can ejaculate in 7 days?

Ejaculation is important or not?
From ejaculation can I get stress or not?
And how many time I can ejaculate in 7 days?
By ejaculation if you mean masturbation then it is a good and safe way to de-stress yourself. However make a point not to use it as the only way of getting relaxed. If you feel stressed out find alternative ways of dealing with stress. Masturbation 1-2 times a week is not at all unhealthy for you
