I'm sorry to hear about your condition. Accessory navicular bone inflammation with involvement of the posterior tendon can be quite uncomfortable and limit your mobility. While I cannot provide specific medical advice without a thorough examination, I can give you some general information. Accessory navicular bone inflammation is usually treated conservatively, and the aim is to manage the symptoms and reduce inflammation. Treatment options may include rest, avoiding activities that aggravate the pain, applying ice packs, taking over-the-counter pain relievers, and wearing supportive footwear or orthotics to reduce stress on the foot. In some cases, physical therapy or exercises targeting the affected area may be beneficial. If conservative measures do not provide sufficient relief, your doctor may consider other treatment options such as immobilization with a cast or boot, or in rare cases, surgery may be recommended. It's important to remember that the healing process can vary from person to person, and it may take time for the symptoms to completely resolve. Persistence of pain and restricted movement after 1.5 months of treatment warrants a follow-up with your doctor. They can reassess your condition, evaluate the effectiveness of the current treatment plan, and make any necessary adjustments. I strongly encourage you to consult with your doctor about your ongoing symptoms. Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or concerns. Consult me on Lybrate
