A level TSH 100 shows a highly uncontrolled hypothyroidism. The direct evidence for controlled hypothyroidism is a normal report of tsh which shows that it is within range. If the tsh is higher than the upper range then the dose will be increased and if the tsh is lower than the lower range then the dose will decreased. If the tsh is within range then you have controlled hypothyroid state and the dose will be carried on as such. Currently if she is on any medicine then the dose needs to be escalated and if she is not on any medicine then she needs to be started ASAP.
