Recently I was down with fever and cold. Whenever I spit mucus I see slightly blood attached to it. When I am not having cold I have no challenge neither I cough nor I have mucus. I would like to know is it serious if it again occurs within next 6 months same scenario blood in mucus. Then what I have to do?

Blood in sputum associated with fever and cold suggests infection of the lung. Generally it goes away as the infection resolves. If it is persistent or recurs it should be investigated. So you should get a complete blood count, coagulation profile, serum electrolytes, renal function tests, urine r/m and chest x ray pa view done if it recurs in next 6 months.
