The only site which answers questions soon in the best way possible. So am a 22 year old female. Considering doing chemical peel for hands, legs and feet nd back. As am heavily tanned and normal bleaching in parlour never worked. Will it remove my tan completely and make me fair? And I have these dark marks caused due to my cat scratching and biting will that go too? How much might it cost? And are skin whitening treatments and chemical peels the same?

Skin whitening can have many types, laser, microdermabrasion, chemical face packs etc. Chemical peeling removes the upper layer off and the new skin takes place, it is certainly very effective. Laser de tanning is recommended if your tanning is so stubborn. Whilst you are going for the treatment, you can get the marks and scars (by your cat) removed by the same treatment. Your skin needs to be analyzed by a dermatologist before deciding what treatment will be effective. Bleach has chemicals but the effect is not as great as you need to remove a skin tan that has been there for too long. Your skin is prone to tanning, so please a apply a sun screen whenever you go out in sun.
