Fatty liver can progress if lifestyle habits are not changed, and cause permanent damage to the liver. You need to reduce your alcohol intake to not more than once in 2-3 weeks and not more than 2 drinks at one time. Stop smoking start exercising - 45 mins daily cut out any fatty oily foods in your diet, and include more dark green leafy veggies. These changes alone can help stop its progress and maybe even reduce it.
