My wisdom tooth appears to be trapped under the gum as I can feel the top of it poking out under a lot of gum. It doesn't cause me any pain and i've had it for about a year. Should I ignore it?

No you shud visit a dentist n get a proper radiograph done .if the tooth is tilted on either side ,it vl cause you pain again and again and in that case you vl have to surgically remove it ie the tooth. But if the tooth is in straight line the dentist vl just cut off the extra gum covering your tooth so as to prevent food accumulation and infection there.
