I am 23. Was prescribed to take betacap tr 40 for anxiety 7 days ago. Now I am fine. Can I stop taking it?

Depends on whether your anxiety is long lasting or a shorter onset one. You can stop the medications once you learn better strategies to cope with anxiety like deep breathing techniques and / jacobson's progressive muscle relaxation. Better to continue atleast for another 2-3 weeks before taking a call or else consult your psychiatrist before stopping medications.

Dear Shubhranil, It depends on the diagnosis. If it is a situational anxiety, you can stop after the situation improved or passed off. If it is one of the anxiety disorders, you need to continue and consult the doctor again without stopping.
