Hi. My wife is 32 and has xanthelasma due to cholesterol, more in the left eye, emerging in the right eye. She is using garlic paste as home remedy to cure the same. It was going good initially but now we can see swelling in the infected portion after applying the garlic paste. Could you please advise if this will lead to positive side or if it is going to worsen the infected area? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Xanthelasma is treated by removing the deposit with: extreme cold or freezing surgery (called cryotherapy) laser surgery. Traditional surgery to remove and repair the skin. Extreme heat surgery (electric needle) chemical peels. Regarding home remedies avoid fatty foods, reduce weight.
