Iam 28 years female wth right knee partial acl tear. Now I met with an accident and got fractured of lateral condyle comminuted fx and underwent Orif surgery. Will I be able to walk again without any support. I mean after 8 months at least. Please be frank and reply.

Hi lybrate-user yes you will able to walk even can run after some time. Have some patience and keep your daily exercise for strengthning. Consult with a good physio for rehabilitation.

it takes atleast a minimum of 6-8 weeks after surgery to mobilise your knee joint and depending on the healing to start weight bearing. by around 3 months if the fracture healing is satisfactory you will be fully weight bearing. hope this answers ur question
