My daughter (8 yrs) is dengue +ve (30.68).but annoying thing is she had fever from last 2 days only around 101f, from last night she is ok no fever but only her forehead get hot around 100f that too only for 15-30 min then it become normal, all the time rest of the body is not hot. Rest she is active and seems ok. Would like to know is there is anything alarming to look. I keep check on her diet. Sos crocin and azee 100 mg (5 ml) bd.kindly give some light.

Dengue fever is a viral fever, typically fever will last 5 to 7 days. Continue crocin sos, keep her well hydrated. Sometimes dengue can cause bleeding manistation, however its not to alarm you but to keep you informed, to lookout if she gets bleeding gums, or bleeding from nose or other sites. Other than that, if she faints, or has severe pain in the abdomen. If you see any of these signs visit a hospital. Otherwise she will recover very well. Always remember, drink plenty of water. That is essential in dengue.
