30 year old year old female, no children, not pregnant, not overweight, born in ghana, west africa. Beginning early june 2021, developed severe heartburn behind lower sternum, initially accompanied with diarrhea, and have only had a few days of relief. Most days the pain is terrible, but reduces for maybe an hour after eating. Treatment has been proton pump inhibitors and antacids, but ineffective. Salty taste in mouth, and heartburn induces coughing. Eating patterns have been modified to provide a little relief, small meals every 3 to 4 hours except when sleeping, eliminating sugar, coffee, tomatoes, alcohol. Please help me.
