Hi am bhavana singh, am 20yo, I have to manage both studies and internship. I do have my class in the morning and I work for a company at night that is night shift. So my question is, will that be okay to get a sleep of 3 to 4 hours in a day or is it compulsory to sleep at night or just getting sleep of 3-4 hours on any time of the day is fine. If not will it affect my health? Kindly let me know about these questions. Thank you.

If you are well-organized with all your activities then it will not give long-term ill effects in your life. Talking about sleep, it is okay to have a sleep of continuous 4 hours (that is refreshment sleep) in the day time as per your night shift and similarly sometime in the night time. Though this pattern may cause some difficulties and if it is compulsory or inevitable, this can be continued. But it is very important to simulate an environment at your bedroom so that this sleep will complete properly. Simulating environment means even if you are sleeping in day time, you need to create your room and it should appear like night environment.
