Post pregnancy women often suffer from postural issues. Due to poor feeding habits, especially when holding the baby while feeding, too much stress and sudden weight loss can lead to postural issues and hence postural training treatment is recommended. These mostly include a series of exercises that are focused on tightening the muscles around the abdomen, which tend to get weaker, strengthen the core and also focus on the back and overall body. The exercises can be done through Pilates/ Yoga, free hand exercising using your own body weight or even though regular weight lifting and strength training. However, this should be done only post suggestion from a gynaecologist. The posture corrector exercises take about 30 minutes to 40 minutes. This is done keeping in mind the fact the health of the person going through, especially women post pregnancy. Being high intensity these exercises are done 3-4 times a week. Duration and intensity are further increased as per requirement and individual stamina. Also, one has the option to continue with these later at home. Posture exercises are not only good for providing your strength, stamina and improved posture, they are also effective in aiding weight loss. In particular, those with weaker immunity or lower stamina right after birth or even after a similar surgery or procedure would notice a visible change within a few weeks of doing these exercises.
