I got my covishield vaccine yesterday. One of my known doctors has advised to take ecosprin to avoid clotting after covishield. I am not on any medicine but my cholesterol level is borderline high after covid. Should I take or not?

Firstly, clotting is a very rare complication and it's link to covid vaccination is still unknown. Taking ecosprin without any definite indication isn't advisable. However, if you are overweight or have history of heart ailments or clotting disorders, only then you should consider taking it. Secondly, covid is not known to be linked to elevation of blood cholesterol. It has possibly appeared or detected after your covid episode. Depending on your lipid profile, you might need to start cholesterol lowering medication of appropriate dosage. You can have an online consult with me regarding the same.
