I have an inflamed cyst on my left shoulder. It is small and is in the sebum gland. I was given augmentin, evion forte, chymoral forte, sompraz d and fucidin ointment medications but the cyst isn't getting smaller. Further I got a yeast infection with increased use to antibiotics. I'm applying candid ointment and stopped antibiotics. The itching has subsided for now but it still pains. Please recommend a medicine for this. Please advise me if I have to go for surgery. How much does it cost and recovery period for this? Will there be stitches involved?

Hi. Initially for an infected sebaceous cyst, oral antibiotics will be required to decrease the infection and it's size. Then excision will be required with suturing. The cost, number of stitches and recovery period depend on size and location of the cyst.
