Hello doctors. There were 3 warts on my testicle skin. I applied podowart paint on them. After 2 days the skin is damaged where there were warts. Now the place has turned red looks like a wound or peeled skin. It?s burning and painful. I am cleaning the area and applying pure coconut oil. How long do you think the healing will take? Coconut oil is kind of soothing. Is it ok to use coconut oil. Please advise.

Hii. Podowart solution or paint must always be applied by a dermatologist, under observation. It can cause extreme burns if applied without supervision. That is what I suppose happened. I will advise you to apply plain topical antibiotic. I.e. Fusidic acid cream twice daily. Keep the area clean, you can apply paraffin gauze over topical antibiotic. That way, nothing would stick to the skin. Do this for 10 days and follow up. You must stop coconut application as it may lead to secondary infection.

Hello podoward is never to be applied to sensitive areas like scrotum etc. Now u have applied.. stop applying anymore. apply neosprin skin oint twice a day.. coconut oil will also work. regards
