I have irregular heartbeat and anxiety, so my doc prescribe me medicine ciplar la 20, he told me to take 5 month ,but I want to know, if I got cured my anxiety can ot be happen again in future, if my heartbeat control in 5to 6 month after than my heart beat will control in future or again heartbeat will increase after stopping medicine after anxiety cure?

Dear Lybrate user anxiety happens due to certain reasons. You need to first find out what triggers anxiety in you. It can be controlled with counseling. You are already taking medicines, you need counseling too. Counseling will help you to find the root cause of your problem and you will gradually get relief. Consult a counselor for this. Also, what is your lifestyle? Do you do any physical exercise? Do you have enough sleep? All these things need to be taken care of. If you are lacking in these, I would suggest you to start immediately. Walking, cycling, jogging, all are good. Also yoga is helpful too for calming the mind. You can also contact me for counseling.

Increased heart rate is somatic symptom of anxiety and ciplar reduces that, but does not act on the cause of anxious mood, which is due to reduced serotonin in the mind. If things are manageable leave as such, if you have recurrence of anxiety better consult a psychiatrist and get treated more effectively. Good luck.

Your symptom of irregular/ increased heart rate can be suggestive of anxiety disorder. Ciplar is a symptomatic treatment not a cure. You need proper treatment with use of anti anxiety medications and psychotherapy for proper solution to your complaints.
