M is on medications ciplar la 20 and methimez 5 twice a day. Detected hyperthyroidism 6 months back but now after 2 months my t4 level is ranging from 0.46-0.61 and TSH is 11.750. - 16.450. Should I stop taking medications?

Pooja ji, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Looking at the T4 & TSH levels, it is clear that you have become Hypothyroidism patient. This is because of taking Methimazole for a longer time than needed. So now please stop that drug. Then check TSh again after 4 to 6 weeks later. If the level does remain high (>6 mU/L) then you may need to start the treatment for hypothyroidism. If you have any further queries then please come in a private conversation where I will be able to give specific guidance and even prescribe medication if required. But please stop Methimazole.
