Yes you can take both together.

There are no studies comparing those 2. If you want to know is ashwagandha is effective, you need to stop escitalopram and try it. If it works then you continue the same with alternative medicine doctor, else revert back to psychiatrist and start escitalopram. Drug interactions can be dangerous thing, be cautious. Good luck.

Hi, there is no harm in taking ashwagandha but still I would suggest you to take guidance of your treating doctor. Also I would suggest you to take some cognitive behaviour therapy sessions for anxiety related issues. Cbt works wonders in anxiety disorders. For further help you may contact me.

You should never take allopathic medications 'on-and-off' it can be risky. Ashwagandha can be taken with almost any medication but it not likely to work as an antidepressant. If you are keen on avoiding to take medication, then I suggest that you go for counseling ass well until you learn the skills and techniques to deal with your anxiety. In time you could reduce the use of medication but only in consultation with your doctor.

Hi, as far as your question is concerned there is no contraindication to take these two medicines together. You can take ashwagandha with a escitalopram. However it is not advisable to mix medicines from two different pathies therefore you either choose one of allopathic or ayurvedic. The treatment is available in both pathies.
