Hi doctor, my baby is 11 months and weighs only 6.5 kg, her appetite is very poor but I feed her everything, still no improvement in her weight, can you please tell me the dosage of tonoferon drops for my baby. Am really worried about my baby as her weight is very low and she looks very thin, she also poops once she finishes eating that worries me a lot, am yet to visit a doc as am skeptic that my baby has malabsorption.

Hi Lybrate user, the concern is genuine. To begin with the weight of your baby is definitely something to worry at 11 months and she appears malnourished like you have described. I would like you to understand that there are many reasons why an infant should not be gaining weight, or having poor appetite. As mothers we tend to think that poor weight gain is because poor feeding may be something more. Like you said, she may be having some other health issues which is causing her to gain less weight and eat less. It would be nice i'd you get her evaluated from a pediatrician. It will be a realistic insight to the problem. Now that you know there is an issue, you need to find out the real cause. As of tonoferon, you can give her drops 1 ml=25 mg, 1 ml once a day preferably with some fruit juice/ pulp.
