I pierced my ear 2 months back and then after 10 days I got a small bump near my piercing. But now that bump is just increasing and its been 1 month. I used soframycin for 2 weeks, it gave me some relief but it is not vanishing. How do I treat it? Should I remove my piercing? Can I use soft lotion on it?

Dear lybrate-user, thank you for your query. You may have developed a hypertrphic scar which could later turn into keloid. A walk-in or online consultation could help assess your condition accurately. Please visit a dermatologist near by or ask for an online consultation. Application of antibiotic cream like soframycin may not take care of such bump. Thanks.

Hello lybrate-user initially, you should remove the piercing and start taking some antibiotics for 5 days at least. And apply famic cream.
