I am just diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. T3 t4 became normal in one month. Tsh<0.008 since 2 months. Tsh is not changing even after medicines. Med:- ciplar la 20, methimez 10, odastin m I also got myself scanned, few cystic nodules are there. Please suggest am I under ryt treatment. Any home remedy suggestion? Please tell how can I come out of this as soon as possible. My ige is 153. I am itching allergy.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Please clarify what is your age, weight and height. Plus what is the size of those cystic nodules observed in the thyroid scan? Fo TSH to return to normal it takes quite a long time. Usually antithyroid drugs are given for 18 months to 24 months. In many cases TSH does return to normal (3 to 4 mU/L) Once that happens treatment is discontinued. However, in many cases Hyperthyroidism comes back after a few months. In few it may get cured . So now you will have to continue the present treatment. Keep checking TSH every 2 to 3 months, to see if desired level is reached. So for the time being please continue the same.
