32 year old female, pregnant. 9 weeks. Cbc results came with mcv 78.7 and hgb 11.4 now my gynecologist is taking to do further testing to rule out thalassemia trait. Husband blood also tested. His mcv is 82.7 hgb 15.3 his mcv is in normal range but on the low side. Does he have a chance for thalassemia trait as well. Kindly help.
