Whey protein are known to increase the Uric acid in the body and this over a period of time can get deposited in the kidneys and cause kidney stones. Use whey protein only if you are into very heavy muscle building, otherwise the dietary protiens should suffice. The recommended proteins intake for an average man is 0.8-1 g/kg/ day and for a heavy body builder it is up to 1.2. Calculate your proteins intake in your diet, then you will know how much protein you require.
