I have oral thrush in my tongue for 5 years, its do not go away. I saw a doctor he suggest me anti-fungal drugs and micoral gel for 14 days. I eat properly but oral thrush do not go. You may need fluconazole & renal safety dosage of amphotericin b (iv drugs to be used only with the advice of oral & maxillofacial surgeons). Hello Lybrate user. U need to maintain proper oral hygiene. Only medication will not treat you well. Some homely tips. Replace old brush with new one and brush twice a day. Use plastic tongue scraper to scape your tongue twice daily. Use to gargle and swish with lukewarm salt water use the oitment twice daily after cleaning use fluconazole 50 g once daily for 7 days.
