Hello lybrate-user. Severe pain leads to damage soft tissue and ligaments which may later result in damaging nerves so never neglect it, take acetominophen or naproxen daily one tablet for three days. If the pain reduces you can start stretching your leg starting with ankle, knee and hip joint. If the pain does not subside in three days with tabkets take an x-ray of hip joint and follow up with reports. Thank you.
