I am a 48 years itp patient. My urine reports show high protein discharge ,urine infection and creatinine is 1.34. I am diabetic and taking jardiance met 12.5/500 mg. The neurologist prescribed levoflox 500 for 7 days. Can I take this? Is it decrease my platelets? Is any other alternative? Please advice.

You seem to have urinary tract infection with border line kidney disorder. Levofloaxacin is a good urinary antiseptic. But has many side effects. Drug may not have effect on platelets but will have to be taken under strict supervision of your doctor and cautious about any suspecting bad effect. Proper follow up of infection, kidney functioning and daibetes control side by side is necessary.
